The People behind the curtain
Meet our authors
Their narratives are intertwined through their shared magical universe in The Resonance Chronicles.
Joseph and Julie discovered their special resonance at a college dating event when they teamed up to forge artwork to cheat, and win, a game. Through years of trips, visits, and late night dinners, they have shared their love of good storytelling. Then, on an afternoon of inspiration under cherry blossom snow, a universe was born.

Joseph Donica
Founder & Author
Joseph L. V. Donica is a writer, professor, and author of the upcoming novel The Secret History of Unicorns in the Bronx. As a literary critic, he has made a living over the past ten years picking apart others’ narratives and has decided it is time to write his own. Since his childhood, he has been intrigued by how ancient life sticks in our imaginations, and he brings that intrigue to Unicorns. As a utopian, he is always on the lookout for the sense of wonder in a world long removed from its sources. Unicorns is his attempt to recover them. He is based in New York City, teaches in The Bronx, and is in negotiations over getting a cat, whom he will name Unamuno.
